Remote Access Auto Connection Manager Service

Service Name:  RasAuto Process Name:
 svchost.exe -k netsvcs
Safe to Disable:  Yes Recommended Setting:
 Enable

Creates a connection to a remote network whenever a program references a remote DNS or NetBIOS name or address. Detects unsuccessful attempts to connect to a remote network or computer and provides alternative methods for connection. The service maps and maintains network addresses to connection destinations. This allows a destination to be automatically dialed from a program or from the command prompt. A network address can be an Internet host name, an Internet Protocol (IP) address, or a NetBIOS server name. It is possible that some RAS, ADSL or Cable connections may require this service.

If disabled then users will need to manually connect to other systems. Disable if your computer doesn't have network access.

Dependencies: Remote Access Connection Manager; Telephony
